Lesson plans

A lesson plan travels with a coverage request from the teacher who wrote it to the substitute who teaches it, stored securely the whole way.

A good day of coverage starts with a good lesson plan. SubHub keeps the plan attached to the request so it's there when the sub needs it, no email chains, no shared drives.

How it works

  1. A teacher attaches it
While requesting coverage, the teacher uploads the lesson plan. It uploads to secure file storage and rides along with the request.
  2. It stays private until claimed
The plan isn't broadcast to the whole sub pool. It's shared with the substitute assigned to that job.
  3. The sub opens it
Once a sub claims the job, they can open the plan from the assignment, or from the lesson plans page if they're juggling several schools.

Two views of the same plans

  • Teachers see the plans they've uploaded.
  • Substitutes see plans for the jobs they've claimed and that are still active, grouped by school and sorted by date.
Stored securely Files live on secure storage and are served through short-lived links, so a plan is only reachable by the people who should see it.
