Request coverage
When you'll be out, the guided wizard walks you through requesting a substitute in four short steps. You can do it in under a minute.
A coverage request tells your school you'll be out and that you need a substitute. The wizard collects what's needed (when, why, which subjects, and the lesson plan) and sends it to your admin for approval.
Start a request from the Request coverage button, the command palette, or by pressing N on any page.

- Pick your datesChoose the day you'll be out, or drag across a range for several days. Single day or a full week, it's the same picker.
- Set the reason and how longPick a reason (sick, personal, professional development, or other) and how much of the day you need covered: full day, half day, or a partial. SubHub uses this to figure the PTO hours.
- Confirm subjects and add a lesson planYour subjects are pre-selected. Uncheck any the sub won't cover, then attach a lesson plan so they can prepare.
- Review and submitThe summary shows everything on one screen. Submit, and the request goes to your admin to approve.
